Welcome to Shards, a new and up to date site detailing the lives and works of 5 renowned fantasy authors. Here you will find the biography and list of works for JK Rowling, David Eddings, David Gemmell, JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis. Also included are several book reviews on their works. We have done our best to give justice to these 5 giants. Explore and enjoy this small world of fantasy that we have created for you.
Our Mission
This site is the product of your imagination. Constructed by three Western Australian high school students, it is designed to provide an interactive experience for the auidence as well as provide information on its subject.
We Chose to do Notable Authors of the 20th century because we are all avid fantasy fans and had an interest in finding out more about them and their works. We only choose 5 authors because of time constraints and by no mean suggestion they are the only people recognizable for this title. No profit is made from this site or its content and everything belongs to its rightful owners whoever they may be.
Updates
The Site is finished, well all the pages the only thing we can change is the text stuff, which incidentally is this. I just included a Site Map which links all of the pages together and can be accessed by means of the footer. Additional pages include the About Us page, which is as pointless but explains that we are actually human. Also the Contact feature works and we welcome and respect all feed back. -2/9/05
Well our site is almost in completion. The pain and suffering we have undergone is almost in its conclusion. We've updated the last of the biographies and book lists. If any of the authors publish anymore, (even though two of them are dead), it is not our fault.- 31/8/05
